I think it would be really awesome to see more customization options for the Home Screen Dock in One UI 2! For instance, I'd like to be able to turn off the dock completely, or even add widgets to it! It would be fantastic to be able to add things like the Google Search Widget or widgets made with the KWGT app to that bar, or any other apps widget! It's very limited right now as to what you can do with the precious screen real estate that's right by our thumbs!
We were begging for that on Android 9 beta and no one listened. We'll probably still be begging in OneUI 3. I don't know why anyone actually uses OneUI anyway with all the good launchers available, many free.

Samsung the official version should not match your concept but instead it should match and exceed the wishes and wants of the customers who buy your products. So far Samsung you have failed! When are you going to start listening to the customers?
I'm pretty sure you can effectively turn it "off" by not putting any icons there...
I've messed around with it and made folders in the dock and also put nothing at all there.... however, I don't see them implementing being able to add widgets there but maybe they will.
I believe the dock concept is almost a given on Android phones unless you get jiggy with third party launchers/Kustum/KLWT...
I used to use Nova Launcher Prime before beta testing Pie, and I switched to the native launcher to test it better and became hooked! I'm really digging what Samsung has done. I'm curious what the final os will look like!
