Navigation gesture bar NOT matching.

Allow the navigation bar to match the theme. It's very polarizing to not have it match. Even if it's an off gray color that's fine but make it dark when activating dark mode. Or at least give us the option to toggle that.

I agree with you. That's why I just hide the navigation gestures.

I usually have it off but it's a lot harder to use the gestures if you're not spot on since it's all the way at the bottom now without the guidance bars

For anyone that prefer to have Gesture Hints turned off (which basically nagate the issue OP is presenting), it looks like the much dreaded navigation trade off was addressed in the stable version released in Germany and reported to be working properly on a US device:
