You would have to contact Snapchat about that. Their app uses a screenshot of what our camera sees rather than utilizing our actual camera software.
It's been a problem unaddressed by Snapchat for years

Snapchat has treated their Android app pretty poorly, focusing on the iPhone. That doesn't seem likely to change any time soon. They've talked about a complete rewrite if the Android app but I don't know if they've ever done it. And if they have, it's still performing poorly.

But I have to ask, is Snapchat that important to you that you would switch phones/platforms for one app? If so, then the answer is pretty clear. Even if it's a combination of things regarding Samsung and/or Android where you're unhappy and your usage is unpleasant, then definitely switch. You pay a lot for a phone and have expectations of that phone. But you also buy into the platform, and it's no secret that lots of iOS apps outperform their Android counterparts. If you're unhappy, or not as happy as you think you should be with a phone, then you should switch. Get the most out of your money.

Snapchat re did the app from the ground up and it is miles better than it was but it still needs some work. Everytime I contact Snapchat they give me the same answer to either leave feedback and submit a ticket along with it or thanks for letting us know were looking into this

blame Snapchat not Samsung dude go talk to them. Samsung opened up the SDK and they did nothing. Do not put useless stuff like this here.
