Non native apps notifications

It'd be nice if non native apps, like GMail or Googles Messages app, are allowed to wake up the screen without using a third party app.

Yeah, I'd consider Edge Lighting a 3rd party app, but it definitely does work. I'm looking more for an actual screen wake up though. :)
