I use the app, One Handed Operation+ to handle this right now on the S10, but ever since Samsung removed the physical fingerprint reader, it has been harder to actually bring down the notification tray without repositioning your hands or using an app. Along with the back button gesture, I wish there was a baked in system wide gesture that would allow me to bring down the notification tray easily from any screen

There is. Go to launcher settings and turn the option on. See the picture

this is only on the homescreen but not any screen. if I want to open the notification tray while I'm on this app for example to read the notification I just received, I'd need to go home, then swipe down.

yeah. without another app you have to start at the top of your screen then pull down. I also use the good lock app from the Samsung store then added one hand mode to have extra gesture

This is an excellent idea! Also, thanks for the tip! Had no idea there was an app for that! Handstrain saver on the S10!
