Samsung Messages needs more features to compete with others on the market

Samsung you need to make more features available and fluid animations as a previous user stated because the app is simple but too simple in a way, the main point being if there should be a competitor to iMessage for iPhone it should be Samsung Messages or even make a new name do a redesign a complete makeover for the app with more creative designs maybe a notepad to draw or write stuff in a note have the phone process the writing or something a mini game exclusively for Samsung Messages users but there is many ideas and customizations hopefully we can see something like this come about sometime in the future of beta or general updates

With Google enabling RCS messages in their Google Messages app, there's really no point in Samsung Messages unless they also jump on board and support the latest standards. as soon as I've told fellow Samsung users that Google Messages supports iMessages esque messages and Samsung Messages doesn't, they immediately download Google Messages and leave Samsung Messages behind.

They won't do that because it's been the same for years sadly. They need to just scrap it and put Google Messages on here so we can on have RCS with no issues

Google messages isn't ideal for everyone though so why get rid of samsung messages if there are still people that might prefer samsung messages lol

I know what you mean. It's just lacking a lot. Your right tho a lot of people like it for sure but they gotta do something

Do it like the Internet browser: have Google and Samsung Messages i stalled by default so people realize there is a choice and can one vs the other. Would also be nice to have a option in the initial setup to pick which one you want to be the default.
