wiping cache partition

If wiping the cache partition is so important after a update, why dont they put it into the software update?
I see posts saying "wipe the partition" when people have a issue.

Seems like it would be a simple line of code you would put in last that triggered after the install was complete. 

Just a thought.

It's not. It would only be something to do if your phone is acting up imo.

The cache is cleared during the update and like others said, don't do it if your not having problems. Occasionally an update script or restored app will act up and if that's the case then yes, you can try it but it's not a fix all.

With a beta, it makes more sense (bugs and rogue settings left behind) than having to do it with a GA patch release.
