SupportHi all. I wanna share my experience as well on warranty shamelessly voided due to a dot on screen. (At the very far right corner corner if anyone can see in the picture). Got my fold 4 in January 23. Went to PS service Center. After a brief explanation on the possible hardware issue. Front screen ok open the fold blackout inner screen. Caller cannot hear me. I cannot hear caller. Play video no sound. Next thing the CS took the phone see until so superb close, shine against the light and point to me the dot. Sir your warranty is voided. I was puzzled where until I took a photo and enlarge the picture.
I’m not here about the screen. If I ask you to warrant against my cracked spider web screen, and that every possibility in the whole world suggest I have accidentally dropped and self damage and I need to pay. Yes I will pay
but this very dot. Require us to enlarge the photo to finally spot it has given SS a backed by T&C reason to invalid my full warranty? Its stated in the T&C and so on. I would agree if it’s within reasonable status. But general wordings I simply cannot agree. The dot is not proven to cause a chain of reaction damage to the hardware issue which is what we need help with. And we paid for the phone. Try advertising your phone with first info that a dot will void your warranty see who buys them!
I made my stand clear. This is no way acceptable to void my warranty. They say they will assess and let me know. Outcome good or not. I need to make a statement. This is ethically not right towards us SS phone supporters. If even if it’s slightly arguable. You show me the dot and mention screen is not covered. And I have to pay a certain percentage should I want to change the screen due to the dot which I can’t see with my naked eye. Ok so be it.
but the issue here ain’t this dot. It’s practically hardware issue and SS void my full warranty on this dot. If by any third party professional technician can assess and say that this dot which however appear can lead to a hardware issue. Kindly support with valid statements and findings.
I asked the manager. If this dot is Sooooooo sensitive to void the warranty. How in the world are we suppose to use our existing SS phone now.
Shouldn’t SS provide a well explanatory note in every single new phone box that should highlight this issue rather than a refer us to an elongated T&C when we need help with hardware issues beyond our control
And might as well throw in a super armour casing for the phone (don’t like the design don’t use it. Get a dot. Ok bye bye warranty) and 5-10 steps on how to use your phone so that you don’t get a dot on the screen to have your warranty voided
step 1. Do not take the phone out of the box unless so really necessary
step 2. Do not touch the phone unless necessary
step 3. Wrap your ragged hands with microcloth gloves before handling the phone and etc etc
Admittedly, I am sarcastic as SS has undoubtedly used unreasonable unsupported chain of actions to void our warranty
Lastly
Saw this email stating I submitted a physical damage and broken screen when nothing but a can’t really be seen dot is spotted on an enlarged photo
Wow really wow. Speechless 😶

SupportI'm sorry to hear this weird story of yours. Usually if you have opted for Samsung Care package this will be covered also. If just normal warranty this could be regarded as Physical Damage. That is why I strongly recommend that you check your device for defects and exchange it to save the warranty. I have no advise for now yet. You may send feedback on this via Samsung Members > Support > Send feedback. Alternatively you can go Diagnostic test also on the same page.
Hope this helps. If there is any more questions please reply. I'm willing to help but some question may not have a suitable answer or advise all of the time. Take note.
