Currently using Note20Ultra and planning to upgrade...
Since I will be trading in my Note20Ultra, I need to back up files before getting the new device. Pagdating ng new device wala na si Note20Ultra ko po.
If I back up through external drive (pwede rin ba sa PC iMac) can I restore data like how it is on my current Note20Ultra; the settings, wallpapers, everything. Like how you transfer data side by side. How about the data on Secured Folder? Ma back-up and ma-transfer din ba? Thanks po. 🙏🏻

Hello itz_jomz,

Thanks for letting us know about your interest in a Samsung trade-in deal for your next device.

When switching to Galaxy, you don't have to say goodbye to your old stuff. The data and content you were using before - your photos, videos, contacts, calendar events, notes, and device settings - get to stay with you on your new Galaxy. However, only paid wallpapers will be transferred, and secured folders can no longer be backed up.

Hey itz_jomz,

Congrats on the upgrade! Hope you enjoy the next phone you've got coming ♥

Ideally you'd want to have your Note 20 Ultra with you when you get your new phone so you can maximize Smart Switch, but External storage transfer will work just fine for your files. You can restore your data through Smart Switch on your new device.

Here's a guide that can help! How to backup and restore data to external storage with Smart Switch | Samsung
