SupportHello Dacotah,
Thank you for reaching out to us here. Samsung cares.
It is really understandable having issues on the ice making cycle taking it so long. But don't you worry, we are here to help.
You may check and rectify this with the below troubleshooting steps:
A) Ideal Temperature Settings:
- Freezer
-
Set the desired temperature between –15°C and –23°C by pressing the Freezer button.
-
The default setting is –19°C, and each time you press the freezer button, the temperature changes and appears on the display.
-
- Fridge
- Set the desired temperature between 1°C and 7°C by pressing the Fridge button.
- The default setting is 3°C, and the temperature changes and appears on the display each time the Fridge button is pressed.
B) Ensure that the ice maker is turned-on. Below is how to turn it On.
- When the ice maker is turned off, ice making is disabled even if you press the Cubed Ice or Crushed Ice buttons on the dispenser panel. To enable ice making, you must turn the ice maker on.
- When the ice maker is off, pressing the dispenser lever for more than 5 seconds will automatically turn on the ice maker.
- When you turn the ice maker off, you must wait at least 1 minute before you can turn it back on.
C.) Others visible indicators that contribute to less making ice.
- Fridge door is not properly closed.
- The freezer wall forms condensation.
- There is condensation forming on the interior wall of my fridge.
D.) Possible Causes.
- The water tap is closed.
- Frost build-up on the ice maker.
- Incorrect/improperly installed water connection.
- Clumped ice.
- The air duct on top is blocked by food and it made improper cool airflow.
E.) Possible Solutions.
- Close the door properly.
- Dry clean the wall to remove the condensation and excess moisture.
- Open the water tap.
- Properly install water connection.
- Arrange the foods spacing inside the fridge to allow a proper cool airflow.
Hope this content helpful to you and your problem gets solved.

SupportHi, Dewey S!
Thanks for asking your question here! If the unit is newly installed, you just need to wait for about six (6) hours for the ice to be made. Kindly note that the first three (3) batches of ice should not be used for consumption and be thrown away to ensure that the ice maker makes ice from clean water.
If the freezer is not cooling as much as you would want it to be, you can adjust the temperature to the suggested temperature for freezers, which is about -15°C to -20°C. After adjusting the freezer's temperature, kindly monitor for six (6) hours if the freezer is now properly working. Additionally, ensure that the doors are free from obstructions, check for damages on the door gasket that may cause air leaks, and check if the food containers are blocking the air vents.
Hope these troubleshooting steps would help you in your issue. Thanks!

SupportHello, we are having a similar problem where our bespoke fridge isn’t making ice. It has been poured in for two days and it’s only filled up the bottom of the tray. It says that it’s making ice but very slowly.
