Hey lianaliam,

Please bring your device to a Samsung Service Center immediately for diagnosis and repair for your device.

Let us know if you need further help.

Thanks. Just brought it this morning and they suggested to replace motherboard without even looking into the phone which costs close to brand new.

Is there a service center where I can send the phone to recover it?

Hi lianaliam,

To give a bit of context: motherboards are printed PCBs that have components soldered to them - you could think of components as "hardwired" to the motherboard - making it difficult, if not completely impossible, to repair individual parts when they break.

Boot loops may indicate NAND Flash / eEMC error, essentially corrupting your phone's internal memory. It's likely why the service center suggested to replace the motherboard.

As for data recovery - unfortunately, if you haven't backed up your device to your Samsung Account or Google Drive, you may lose some essential files.

I am a bit disappointed that a corrupted memory file will suggest to replace the entire board itself. I was hoping for a more cost-effective approach like reflashing or reinstalling OS if it is really the case. Thanks for the help anyway.
