Any idea on why Malaysia doesn't have good guardian or good lock in galaxy store? Will it be available anytime soon?

you have to use finelock, tho mostly you will need to download the apk's if you are ok with that.

Yea I know there's apk in Google store like finelock that can do the similar stuff, but just wondering why goodlock that published by Samsung itself not available in Malaysia after so long.

Probably because Samsung doesn't place Malaysia high in terms of software support. Yes we do get priority compared to other countries when it comes to phone launches, we're often the first countries to receive their latest models.

But for software stuffs, like new OS beta testing & Good Lock, we're always seemed to be left out.

Maybe Samsung thinks Malaysian users are not savvy enough when it comes to software? Or could be our userbase is small and they don't think they'll get enough feedback from us for future improvements?

Your guess is as good as mine.

I have shared from several post comment on how to sideload official samsung good lock apps and safely install and use it.

No rooting needed, and normally every module can be updated from galaxy store. Been using it for awhile to clean up unnecessary quick icons add more usability on cover screen.

and yes, I do personally hope Samsung Malaysia will include our country as in beta testing program along with good lock lab apps testing.

I checked your post comment d, but nowadays so many bank account got hacked due to bank claimed that we install apk from unknown site. This make me feel unsafe to download app outside playstore and galaxy store. I just hope sooner or later it will available to Malaysia's consumer in galaxy store. We also spend our hard earned money to buy their device, they should let us enjoy full ability of our phone.

yes, I do understand your security concerns over unknown 3rd apk download.

Best practice on downloading every 3rd party installer (apk included) by first make sure download it from credible source, which normally endorsed by well known community, next, normally from there, a credible source will provide a digital fingerprint, where you yourself can identify and check (hash check, you can google it) their digital integrity by comparing both encryption digital number.

another source for credible site is from open source project, eg. github

normally, malicious apps created by attacker will be like bank-apps lookalike, most common downloaded by user, ad free YouTube for example, wallpaper apps which normally request for sms permission, please be careful with giving certain apps an sms permission as from here they can hijack and gain access your sms and copy your otp.

another thing, you can search for credibl3 firewall apps, and block unnecessary background network access.

there are several other security tips, which not suitable I explain it here.

Sadly Good lock is not available in Malaysia idk why. But I have found a launcher for good lock. This app kinda works like good lock i guess. Here's the link.
