must I factory reset the phone every time the software gets updated? I already did it after OneUI 4.1 update.

posting this article means the phone still restated despite the workaround. I have just disabled, re-enabled *reduce transparency and blur* then wiped cache partition and repaired apps. I'm waiting for the next random restart for me to decide whether to factory reset or not. Thank you.

Try to turn off automatic reports so it won't notify or bother you anymore

what report? if your aircraft had high oil temp, would you remove/disable the gauge so it won't bother you anymore?

I'm just suggesting an option for you to try, I didn't force you to turn it off.

I get your point but aircraft and your phone is different. You can do something about the high oil temp, you can check the coolant or oil viscosity or something, while you can't do anything about the random restart error report, all you can do is try to figure a workaround, send it to Samsung, discard or turn it off permanently.

You can just ignore my comment if you don't want to turn off the automatic error reports 🙂

the gauge and the reports are there to warn you when there are irregularities. so I thought they're kind of serve the same purpose. I don't think I wanna remove something (or someone) just because they keep on pointing out the problems I might want to solve. I want this issue solved so I was asking if factory reset every time there's an update is a norm now or perhaps there's another way to solve it for real. I don't want to hide the problem by getting rid of the reports (or the gauge haha) it's like I'm starting a thread because perhaps there are other things I haven't looked up yet.

This isn't the 1st time it happened to me and I think reducing the transparency and blur plus disabling the protect battery worked but I wanted to have the blur back so I did a factory reset and it didn't restart unintentionally. but this time,.. oh come on I have around 226GB data/files.. factory reset every month after the update? this gotta be a joke, right.

I think its an isolated case cause every software update and this happened. If this issue is known to exist on many users, Samsung should have already fix it via software update.

I agree, factory reset every month is hassle. Well, you can't do anything about it but try to find a workaround since Samsung probably won't help you. I also can't help since I never encounter this problem. I hope you can find a fix for your problem, good luck 🙂

I don't think it's normal my files/data is at around 226GB. want me to wipe them then load them again?

but I already wiped cache partition and repaired apps. I'm considering factory reset but that just.... I feel like it's an ultra poor device with ultra poor cheap low quality parts - but I paid premium for it. you know I feel cheated.

yes from the design to the hardware to the UI to the apps - those are the parts I meant. and it feels cheap overall. imagine if I have to factory reset every month because of the security update.. I'm not saying there should be no update but perhaps they can quit messing up the phone. now I'm waiting for Bixby Routines or Voice to fail because that's kinda their trademark now (at least on this phone model idk)
