  1. Hello guys! I just recently bought an s24 ultra and I have been experiencing problems whenever I play a video using the preinstalled video player or vlc player. The video/movie stutters or lags for a few seconds at set intervals. This is really annoying. Is Samsung aware of this? Anyone of you guys experiencing the same problem? Hope they get this fixed.

I solved my issue. It was the hardware acceleration toggle. I turned it off on the vlc settings and my videos did not stutter/ lag. I feel relieved.

Hi there,

I feel like there might be two possible reasons why this is happening:

1. Your device may still be learning your usage patterns, which may be causing some of the slowdown. Does your device also heat up?

2. Either the videos you are trying to play are too high resolution or have been encoded poorly - have you experienced the same stutters when playing the videos on another phone / pc?

Let me know if you have updates.

Well I haven't experienced any UI lag or heat build up. I never experienced lag playing videos through VLC before but then again I never checked if I had the hardware acceleration toggle turned off on the vlc app on my previous note 20 ultra. But everything is good now. Videos are not stuttering anymore since I turned off the hardware acceleration toggle inside VCL app.

I had this problem until I changed the screen resolution to QHD, now no more lag. I think it's about what quality playback you are watching.
