SupportHello Choo0452,
We are sorry to hear about your experience with your beloved Samsung Galaxy phone having issues with SIM Card. I feel and understand why you are worried for a device that you've take care so much. If my device is facing similar experience, I will be bothered and frustrated too.
Before you try out the below recommendations as to your solution, be sure to check if your device's software are updated with the latest version. Please check how to update your mobile device's software in the following order.
Step 1. Go to Settings > Software update.
Step 2. Tap on Download and install.
Step 3. Follow the on-screen instructions.
Most issues with your SIM card will need to be resolved by your carrier, but before you contact them, there are a couple things you can try to resolve any issues.
1. Check the SIM card.
If your SIM card is not recognized properly, remove the SIM card and inspect it for damage or corrosion. Reinsert the SIM card, making sure it is properly installed with the gold-colored contact fixed firmly into the tray and the edge cutting part of the SIM card is placed exactly.
If you have another phone that works with the same carrier, try using the SIM card with that phone.
2. Try another SIM card.
If you have another active line with your carrier you can try that SIM card with your phone.
3. Replace the SIM card.
If your SIM card continues to have issues, you will need to get a replacement from your service provider.
