Vertical line display problem in galaxy phone

Need help in what to do on my phone problem. A vertical green line suddenly appeared in the screen of my 4year old galaxy s20 yesterday

A vertical green line is a hardware defect. It can only be fixed by replacing the screen.

Unfortunately, the S20 series is no longer under warranty as it has exceeded the 1-year coverage period. Consequently, complimentary repairs are no longer available. To obtain an estimate for the repair cost, kindly visit the nearest authorized service center.

Oh i see so this can be only solved via repair. Not sure why the defect happened as i have never dropped my phone. Thank you for the feedback
