SupportIs your phone quite old already?
Before that, try to make sure:
1) What was the last thing you did before the application stopped working? (this might be the cause of the problem)
2) Did you see an error message?
3) Have you recently updated your phone or the application?
4) Did you try pressing the volume buttons to check the audio?
5) Try to send/ receive a video again (without editing the video).
If you confirm everything is good, then try to check the settings on your phone and WhatsApp below:
1) Reset your Network Settings
2) Update WhatsApp for better performance (make sure your application is up to date)
3) Allow WhatsApp essential permissions (microphone should be check/ enable)
4) Delete and reinstall WhatsApp (make sure you backup your data/ file before delete the application)

SupportWhatsApp already updated to newest version.
There's no error message.
Check volume button, set to high still no sound.
If send without editing, video sounds normally.

SupportSamsung A52 is not old so should be no problem.
Just try the method above will do.
Delete and reinstall the application should fix the problem. You can try this last.
Worst case is:
1) Reset phone (make sure you do backup if needed)
2) Contact Samsung Support for advice

SupportA friend of mine told me that she got the same problem as you, when she edited a video on her Samsung S21 and the phone gets it saved in a special format so she can be able to revert it.
Unfortunately Whatsapp can't handle this 'editable video file' correctly and it messes up the sound.
The solution is to create a new video and save it and it worked for her.
Maybe you can try it out with few video.

SupportClick the vertical ellipsis(3 dot) and choose "save a copy".
I belived that should solve your problem but incase that doesn't work,
Choose "size and format" option,
"select resolution" and later
"save a copy".
Hope the above helps.
