Hey Samsung,

I'm reaching out about an issue with my phone that happened last Thursday. It came into contact with water, but only partially. The charging port, earphone jack, and speaker got wet, while the rest of the phone stayed dry.

So far, i haven't noticed major problems, but I want to make sure it's safe to keep using and avoid long-term damage. Can you advise what steps I should take now? And if it's not working, then will you please fix my phone?

Thanks,
Rene Luis Yu

Samsung phones passed IP Ratings so nothing to worry about if you're using now and not noticing something unusual. Just be careful next time.

Most Galaxy devices have IP ratings for this kind of incedents. You can always bring your device for a check up on a Authorized Samsung Service Center for a check up.

My phone also fell into a large bucket of water, but I pulled it out in seconds. The ports were all wet 😭😅 Luckily there's no major damage though I experienced some ghost touch, in a while, after that. What I did: I just didn't use the phone, immediately after the accident. I cleaned all the ports/holes with a dry cloth/cotton, as much as it's reachable. I also shake it and feel if there's still liquid inside. The charging port was my only priority at that time so I did not use it for like a day and I was just praying that the liquid that went in there would dry up on its own, if there's still left😂
I hope yours would not have any damage 😭🙏
