2 weeks after phone collection, dead pixel spotted on the inner display. Sent in for repairs and was told the entire inner display has been replaced.
Less than one week, cover display went ballistic and select apps and commands on its own, totally not responsive to user inputs.
The soul of a phone are its display not forgetting it costs a little over 2k, 2 repairs within a month of a brand new flagship phone. This is really disappointing. I am beginning to wonder if I had received a faulty unit.
Anyone has any experience to share if I could get a replacement unit? I have totally lost confidence in mine and if I have to be cautious and worry if I will damage or spot some issues with my phone everytime I use it, that's just too much stress for me.
Yes, second on the request for a replacement. You are paying a premium for this phone, can't expect peanuts service. It cost ×4 of a normal mid-range phone.
I suggest u get it fixed, sell and get Fold 3. The moment I touch fold 4 as a Fold 1 and Fold 3 user, I have 0 confidence in Fold 4 durability.
Why?
1. The removal of metal plate under screen in Fold 4 to reduce weight. Notice this is not done on Flip 4? If you buy Fold 4, you are supporting Samsung in the "experiment".
2. The feel of the hinge when folding and unfolding Fold 3/4...Try it...you will feel the difference.
@Eddy3462 may i know if your zfold4 unit got replacement, i got some issues also on my z fold 4 unit,
1. when unit close it doesn't show the any on screen even when u click the power button.
2. When charge it shows charging but doesn't show the percentage of it.
3. There is a sudden flash of lines on the right side the power/volume buttons when you plug the usb charger.
The unit is very very good condition as i take good care of it bec. Of how much it cost. Then this happen. I just really want to know how long they will have tp fix the unit before they decide to just give a replacement for it.
