S9 tablet touchscreen

The touch screen on my S9 tablet can only work with the pen, not fingers.

Hi, have u tried turning off the S Pen functionality and see if normal navigation via finger is fine?

If I turn off the S Pen functionality and still not able to navigate via fingers... then I'll be totally screwed because I won't be able to turn on the S Pen back.

Hmm.. in that case, can u try the Diagnostic test from this Members app? And see if using finger to swipe across the entire screen is possible.

Did that when the problem started. The diagnostic for the finger screen sensor failed.

Likely, the touch digitiser needs replacement alr. Based on what I found online is that the digitiser for S Pen and finger are separate, hence the S Pen digitiser can still work. I would suggest looking for 3rd party mobile repair shop in this case, which the cost of repair should be lower than Samsung service centre.
