Whenever i export annotated (highlighted) pdfs from samsung notes, the highlighted text becomes less visible as if the highlights are blocking the letters. When will this issue be solved?

Hello camsss16,

Thank you for reaching out to us to inquire about your experience, having difficulty reading annotated text while using your Samsung Notes.

Hope with the below clarifications, I can provide guidance and solve your worries.

The color and highlighter effect somehow really have an impact on the visibility of the text given that the color over the text either is much lighter or darker shades, which overrides the default text color, mostly in black, resulting in a gray or having a blur effect.

If you are encountering the same results, I highly suggest to use different method of using Samsung Notes with Microsoft Office.

With the new Android 12 updates, Samsung Notes integration in Microsoft 365, you can search notes you took from any Galaxy device, and copy contents like text and images directly into your PowerPoint, Excel workbook or Word document on your PC for effortless editing and adding final touches.

You can find out more about Samsung Notes, by clicking the below link

Hope this content is helpful.

I have no answer to your question.

It seems like it would look the same if it were a photo that was highlighted through the native photo editor.

For now, I think one workaround is to take a screenshot of the annotated pdf doc then import that pic to Samsung notes.

Yes, so I think you can keep on doing a screenshot every time you want to add it in Samsung Notes app for now. And I hope this post will get devs' attention and resolve it.

If you don't mind, why do you use the Samsung Notes app for this?

Hey, you might wanna use this app to open pdf docs. This might have a better integration with Samsung notes app.

From this app, you can share a text pdf to notes then highlight from there.

And it's a single app for all other Microsoft Office tools - word and excel too. I haven't used PowerPoint though.

After using this for a while, I've uninstalled Adobe acrobat, MS word and excel. Screenshot_20220908-143000_Galaxy Store.jpgScreenshot_20220908-144018_Samsung Notes.jpgScreenshot_20220908-144011_Samsung Notes.jpgScreenshot_20220908-144134_Office.jpg

Thanks but i'll just stick to samsung notes. The least thing I could do for now is to lower the transparency of the highlighters.

You're not ditching Samsung Notes by using Microsoft Office. Look at how I import pdf to Samsung Notes. I'm not using Adobe, but MS office to open the pdf doc then I share it to Samsung Notes like in these pics.

The highlights go to the background of the texts so they stay as readable as the orig pdf doc. Screenshot_20220908-145059_Office.jpgScreenshot_20220908-145046_Samsung Notes.jpg
