Tab S8 wont open

My tab died. After plugging a charger, I would just get the charging circle on screen and no matter how long I kept it plugged in, it wouldn't hold a charge. It will just turn on for a split second continuously ehile charging. Found a thread that said if you hold the power button and volume down button at the same time if this issue happens, it will "hard reset" and work but it only turns on for a split second and dies again.

How do i fix this? I need to do my school workssss
