Mine isn't verifying my phone number. I know it said it will take some time but it's been an hour. Beta related? Also edge lighting doesn't seem to work for it.

Try it after some time. mine worked on the 1st trial. may be server side switch so may take some time for you.

got it working and checked with my wife's phone as well. she uses s9+ and it worked seamless.

Not relative to this phone but even messenger won't work on some Samsung phones. You will still have to use Activity Launcher to patch. Messenger or you will get a message that your carrier doesn't support RCS.
