For those who want a more tablet like experience enable developer mode scroll down to minimum width and change it from 411 to 600. In previous android versions this was broken for Samsung. As of now it seems to be working with little to no compromise. Not officially supported but it works rather well. I personally think it should become an official thing as it would be an amazing selling point. Samsung are you listening? It would be good for business!

For folks like me who dont know what "tablet-like mode" features would be, could you tersely describe 2-3 features how I might use my phone differently?

Or maybe a URL?

Okay, I tried it, with mixed emotions. Some apps, like Gmail, do not stretch to fit, so it is now condensed and is rendered in a smaller than screen rectangle.

For example, the Quick Panel is not stretched to fit. 😕

Other apps are stretched too much, like rendering stretched buttons that take more effort to "reach" - an example is the TV widget in SmartThings - the volume and channel Up Down buttons are further apart and they are each closer to screen edge so one set of buttons are more difficult to reach

on tablets with previous Android versions they never did stretch to fit, unless the MFR skinned it that way.

hmm. I think I like it. just not at 600. I'm more comfortable with it at 500. had to make my keyboard taller and tweak the font size. any other tips regarding this to make it any better?
