Hi Samsung members. I need your help with my Galaxy Buds2 Pro in White colour encountering cosmetics issue(?).

I bought them in White colour because I've seen Reddit threads regarding Black & Lavender colour have rubberized coating on the earbuds case and buds that goes dark and yellowing in short period, and also because I like White colour to go with my White S21 FE.

I've been only using this earbuds normally for about 1 month (bought on Christmas 2023).
Every time after using, I will wipe the earbuds with alcohol wipes and wipe dry with microfiber cloth to keep them hygienic.

Recently I found out that both my earbuds on the inner side has become blue-ish. I have tried rubbing them with alcohol wipes again but out of luck.
Here are some photos:

Original condition, fresh out of box when received.

Blue-ish tint on yellow circles, original white colour on red circle. Ear tips expanded on purpose.

After 1 month of use. The inner part is bluer than the outer part.
I am fully aware that these will possibly turn yellow soon like any other plastic and rubber, but turning blue is such an unheard condition.
Camera photo doesn't do justice, but it looks much blue-er in real life. I hope anybody can help or give advices.
🙏🏻 Thank you in advance.

Try to avoid using alcohol first and just wipe with water. See whether it still happened or not. Some expensive products might get too fragile, you get what i mean. Haha

Hi! Some alcohol wipes are mildly corrosive (had the same experience with some of my other gadgets - could have other ingredients besides alcohol), and decided to only clean them with dishwasher + water (watered down!).

Have not heard of blue-ing before but mine definitely discolored a bit.

Hope this helps!

Maybe i suggest you to not rub or clean using alcohol. Use water instead. May caused the paint wear off bcos of the alcohol. Just my experience.

Really? 🥲
I rubbed the outer part using alcohol wipes too but the colour doesn't turn blue-ish, almost as if it's using two different kind of plastic materials.
Thanks for responding 🙏🏻

Thanks for the reply!
I will try to avoid my habit of wiping my gadgets with alcohol wipes, although to be fair, I'm doing them for hygienic purposes, and its convenience has gotten to the best of me.

I take turmeric every day, and at some point, I think I have put on my earbuds with the powder on my fingers. Now it is all over my case and buds; I have tried water... :( It looks like ear wax on by buds. So sad.
