Trying to decide in getting Watch Active 2 or Watch 4

2 questions 

1.  Whats is the main feature upgrade from active 2 to watch 4? 

2. Can watch 4 strap be use on active 2?

I just bought Watch 4 LTE today at 310 on Shopee.

I guess the major upgrade is only the WearOS. The charging speed is still as slow. But coming from a Watch Active 2 user, the durability of WA 2 is quite bad. I bought it last year end April. So it only lasted me only 1 year 6 1/2 months. My mum's battery is bad now. Need to charge twice. Bought in August last year.

Hmm my gear sport still doing well after 2 year

Yeah I heard about Samsung Gear products being durable till today.. Currently, I don't know if it's the software that causes these issues or it's the hardware.. now that hardware for my mum's watch are considered brand new, I am suspecting it's the software. Cos there hasn't been any software update since June..

My mum's one started having issue in end July and mine in mid Sept. Both updated to the latest June update, with support of Blood pressure and ECG.

I see , gear sports did not get the ECG support updates.

I think Active 2 was the last model to receive it. Generations before that won't receive, as no hardware was in built. But to me, I feel it's not really an outstanding feature that is considered in purchasing the watch because of it. I feel durability and quality are two main I will look out for.

I rarely use the Blood pressure nor ECG. Blood pressure need to keep calibrating every 30 days and you need to have a physical Blood pressure monitor beforehand. My ECG keeps reporting inaccurate results, displaying poor record or sinus rhythm.. so better off without these features.. I normally use my watch for run tracking and also, use Spotify to connect with my Airpods Pro while running. If I am outside, I will use for notifications, but also, I will often check out using my phone with the bigger screen.

Wait for 12.12 for the next promo. Don't buy on normal day. Either Shopee or Lazada. Official website promo is not competitive enough.
