This post is one week of using Samsung's Watch 5. I am very disappointed with the battery life, 24 hours Max. It's connected to my phone, I don't make/receive too many calls, but receive email and messenger. Is 24 hours bad? My fitbit Versa 3 battery lasted 4 x days. Samsung claims the Watch 5 battery can last up to 50 hours (44mm model) or 36 hours ( 40mm model) on a single charge. Same with all other battery-powered devices, "actual battery life may vary based on network environment, usage patterns, and other factors," including always-on displays, use of fitness monitoring features, and more.
Is the watch set with measuring heart beat continuously? Also, switching on AOD could affect battery life tremendously. Try to get these two options off and observe. For comparison, my watch 4 is able to last between 1.5 to 2 days with AOD off but only 1++ days if I let it on. All the best.
I also have samsung watch 5 44mm now in my hand and battery life very good almost 2 days backup before i have samsung watch 4 40mm and i charge daily but this watch is very good for me
