Watch 7 backup

I can't find any information how to backup my Watch 7. It hasn't performed an auto backup in 100 days. The documentation for this is pathetic. How to backup my Watch 7???

First, open Smart Switch apps on your phone.. tap on the cloud icon on the top right corner of the screen.

Tap on "Create Backup" or " Update Backup"... (the button in blue)

Proceed and select Galaxy Wearable and then create a backup..

I don't think that performs a backup on the watch however. I might be wrong but I think that backs up the Wearable app that's on your phone. But my question was about backing up the watch to the phone. It seems that this can't be done manually and you must sleep with your watch and phone connected via Bluetooth or wifi and trust that it will happen while you sleep. If this is indeed correct it's the worst design decision I've ever seen.

it does backup your watch.. because the backup of watch is to Galaxy Wearables.

just that the end point of the location is to Samsung's cloud.. not anywhere else

i just did this when i switched from Watch 5 to Watch 7
