Starting with Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 6 and Flip 6, you can now edit RAW images in detail in the Photo Editor.
The Photo Editor app can be accessed via the pencil-shaped Edit button in the Gallery app.
Starting with One UI 6.1.1, a RAW Edit step has been added to take full advantage of the RAW format, which allows you to edit photos as they are, without any loss. The images can be edited in the actual RAW format.

In the RAW Edit step, you can make adjustments directly to the RAW image.
You can press the Auto button to correct it automatically, or you can fine-tune the Highlights and Shadows yourself.
Figure 2. Correct a RAW image automatically with the Auto button or correct it manually.
When you press Done in the RAW Edit stage, the corrected image moves to the main Photo Editor screen.
You can now make further edits in the Photo Editor or save it using the ‘Save copy’ button on the upper right corner. Please note that only “Save copy” is provided because it is saved in JPG format rather than the existing RAW image format.

We plan to continue to make improvements so that RAW images can be edited in detail in the Photo Editor, so please stay tuned.
