Should greatly improve messaging interoperability between iOS and Android devices.

Would be nice to have reactions support in Samsung Messages, Samsung. Not sure why this is not already the case!

@El3ctric likely due to Google paying companies to push Google's own apps.

@dolgogi you mean that's why we don't thave reactions in Samsung Messages or that Apple finally caved on RCS?
If later then i think more likely due to pressure, including from EU regulators, reaching a kind of inflectiion point where it would create more damage than good for them to continue along the current path.
Anyway, good outcome for everyone although I'm sure they will find a way to differentiate their messages somehow.

Sorry, I mean the seeming lack of updates to Samsung Messages.
Hence why for the last few years, Google Messages is always front and centre by default.

Google's currently going through an Anti-Trust case.

Ah ok, I see. I continue to stick with Samsung Messages. As a customer, when I commit to an ecosystem I prefer to maximise its use and like to have consistency throughout the user experience.  So hopefully we get more action on the Samsung Messages front. It doesn't make sense for Samsung to push Google Messages imho. Nothing against that app but to keep things nice and clean Samsung Messages should be the preferred, default app. Just like Google Messages is on Pixel phones.

I agree, dislike the interface etc on Google Messages, and much Prefer Samsung Messages.
But, sadly, money talks.
