DiscussionI purchased a portable SSD T7 (1 TB) to use as the Windows and program storage on my **bleep** ProDesk 400 G1 SFF desktop.
Using the Samsung Data Migration tool the contents of the existing internal HDD has been cloned to the new T7 SSD. After altering the BIOS to boot from the T7 I get a bluescreen error with Stop Code: Inaccessible Boot Device.
What do I need to do to have the SSD boot as the primary drive?
There's suggestions online of having to rebuild the BCD on the cloned disk.
The instructions for the Data Migration tool don't mention anything beyond actual creation of the cloned drive.

DiscussionHi Laura, I had this identical issue.
Given the cloned drive is visible and selectable in the BIOS, why isn't it bootable?
I first had the same error message as above, then I redid the cloning making sure I went through the cloning failure section in the manual, and turned off everything including the annoying slideshow screen background, antivirus etc etc. I even turned off secure boot. Now, the PC seamlessly boots off the old drive, regardless of the new one having priority via BIOS settings.
PS what is it with impossibly small font size in the images in the migration tool manual? And the same here? The images can't be read, and when the tool is running on the desk top, I can't read it either - 4K screen.
When printed out all legibility is lost.
