The Samsung Flip 6 does not currently support the full Samsung DeX experience.
As for the Dex Dock for your Samsung TV, it would work perfectly fine.
The Dex Dock is designed to transform your TV into a desktop monitor for your Samsung phone, and it doesn't matter if the phone is a Flip 6 or another Samsung model.
The Galaxy Z Flip 6 does have a new, experimental desktop mode that can be accessed by enabling a developer option.
This mode is not as fully featured as the traditional DeX mode,
but it does offer a more desktop-like experience when connected to an external display.
Here's a breakdown of what you can expect with the Galaxy Z Flip 6's desktop mode:
Limited functionality: The desktop mode is still in development, so it doesn't have all the features of the traditional DeX mode. For example, you may not be able to access all your apps or use certain features.
Requires developer option: To enable the desktop mode, you need to go into the developer options on your phone and toggle a specific setting. This is a bit more involved than simply connecting your phone to an external display.
Desktop-like experience: While the desktop mode is not as fully featured as the traditional DeX mode, it does offer a more desktop-like experience than simply mirroring your phone's screen. You can use a mouse and keyboard to navigate around, and you can open and close apps in a more traditional desktop-style manner.
Overall, the Galaxy Z Flip 6's desktop mode is a promising feature, but it is still in development and may not be suitable for everyone's needs.
If you are looking for a fully featured desktop experience, you may want to consider a different device.
However, if you are willing to experiment with a new feature and don't mind some limitations, the desktop mode on the Galaxy Z Flip 6 could be a good option for you.
