Most disappointing to say the least, I cannot add folder to my Samsung email app.
There are no means on the app to do so
No add folder link to be found, therefore I can't progress, I have spent a lot of time looking every where possible to look for link but no go.
Today I rang Samsung support, the support lady was unable to help.
after spending 45 minutes with me, in the end she hung up, I guess through frustration at not able to solve the issue
So here I am with s22 ultra phone and not able to add folders to my Samsung email app.
What to do, where to go if Samsung support can't help me
Anybody on the community forum with knowledge how to fix
PS
There is no update on playstore for this app.
Thank you for any help with my problem

This morning Samsung sent me to their support shop.
I was told the only way to add Folders to my Samsung email app was by doing it on my computer.
Ahhhhgr, why oh why!! I don't have a computer, I do everything on my phone.
Samsung you have made a great phone please make the app let me add a folder or folders.
I have spent so much time trying to sort this issue out.
Two calls to Samsung support, taking 1 hour 10 minutes, time on phone going right through the phone several times looking a way forward, finally a trip to Samsung tech centre to get the answer.
Many thanks to those who offered solutions

I can see it in Samsung Email app.
Tested using my gmail account and outlook account.

Just click the 3 lines at top left, expand All Folders and you can add a new folder there.

Edit: I removed my previous answer coz I'm wrong lol 😂1691532151811_1691532151806_0.jpg

This does not work on my phone. Just like this person, there is no means to add a folder. The little plus sign is completely missing. If it was there I would try the suggested fix of adding a test folder to make all your sub folders magically appear but alas it is not possible. I am wondering what they did at the Samsung shop to fix it and could they share so we can all fix this annoyinbg problem.

May we know what email account you are using? e.g. gmail, outlook etc.

And what version is your samsung email app.

This is really odd.
As @_nok_ noted, the feature should be there.
I've checked all my devices and it's listed as in the screenshot that was posted before 🤔

Thankyou Dolgogi, for trying to help.
I am totally lost at the moment.
If Samsung can't help me, what hope do I have to put folders on my mobile Samsung s22 ultra.
It should be so easy to do. I need to add folders, but can't!!
No where to go, end of the road
Anyway thankyou for going out of your way to help

Hi Terry,

redoing the setup as imap instead of pop3 as suggested here enabled the "Add folder" option for me.

Applying the fix from this thread made all previously existing subfolders visible.
