Is T7 2TB Touch SSD Format needed

Hi everyone Downunder.

Does the T7 2TB Touch require formatting prior to use, like saving back-up and other important files

Also can the security aspect of the drive be inactive.

Reason I ask this I had bad experience with T5 2TB on both above, 

2weeks old and no joy in trying to get replacement or refund, but Samsung rescued me with a replacement

Appreciate your thoughts on the topics re T7

Hi @Yacadacka, the T7 Touch 2TB is already preformatted prior to use. However, you may have to reformat it depending on what device you're using it with. 

You can disable security mode as well. You can change your security mode settings by clicking “SETTINGS” button on the main page.
