Anyone have any issues since having update to one Ui 6.0 android 14?

My device is a samsung galaxy S21 5g. Since having update, iv encountered several issues such as certain apps having be forced to close as they were not responding, certain apps freezing and or lagging, my swipe up gesture at times is not detected but newest issue i am faced with is, the over heating of my device. Within 5 mins of having use my device, the over heating is noticeable. Prior to this update, i never had any problems with my device getting hot.
I had put it to the test to see if the over heating and when apps had been forced to shut, were somehow linked but it seems they are not.

One thing that might help is to switch your intranet connectipn to 4G, 5G puts qiote a lot of extra load. Go to Settings, Connections, Mobile networks.
The next siggestion is to set updates only when you allow. You using your phone plus updates is another load. Start by swiping up, find Play Store, tap on your profile top right, look left for updates, limit to wi-fi and only when you allow. Lots more on Google if you search.

Thank you. Whilst i do appreciate your suggestions, it seems they are already set on my device. Always have had updates thru wifi at when i allow. My device is a 5G however, i currently have set for 4g use....

One thing I've noticed since the upgrade are some of my notifications don't come through unless my mobile is using wifi, which isn't often. I've tried everything but to no avail.

I have just realised i too face this issue. 🤨 I am always connected to my mobile data simply due to having be on a post paid plan. If i were pre praid, i would be connected to the home wifi but thats not the case at all. But yes, since about 5 mins ago, i had become aware of this. I turned off my mobile data as there is currently maintenance from optus been carried out on the local tower causing the connection for data to be as slow as a sloth therefore i turned the wifi connection on. Notifications came through from certain apps such as facebooks messenger. Glad i had decided to turn on wifi. But not happy about the whole hiccup. This hiccup could possibly have lost me 2 tickets to mat riffe, lets hope not)

When updates occur they sometimes interfere with Access Point names (APNs), the sttings between you and your cell tower. Recently these have become more complex but Google your ISP 5G APN settings. In your phone go to Settings, search for Access Point Names. Write these down separate from your phone, 100% correct, caps, spaces, in case you want to revert. Now compare google with phone, make any changes and restart.

Go to Settings, search for Notifications,, then App notifications, then "Choose which apps are allowed to send ..." Go to an individual app and check options. Try changing then restart. Check this for other problem notifications. Merely changing what happens may resolve your problems. There may be another setting which lists apps where you can limit notifications to wi-fi but I haven't found it.

May I ask, Is your response focused on the notification issue?
If so, in the 1st paragraph, you suggest writting down the access point names, 100% and then compare google with phone. Please may you explain some more if possible. I have written down the access point names 100%, but from here i am not entirely sure on how to compare google with phone. Eeek.

It is, unfortunately a mixed answer. If notifications are coming in by wi-fi but not from cell tower then there may be a problem in the settings linking you to the cell tower. An apn is the software setting linking your phone to the cell tower. If you like tell me your provider -Telstra, Optus, Aldi, etc. and send me the APN settings you have written down. Use direct message if you wish Click on my name if you wish.
Secondly, it is possibly that some apps need to have the correct settings to work.
Unfortunately over-heating can have a number of causes so this may not be the solution. Let's start with this.

Please know my aporrciation for your help and for the offer in realtion to my device overheating. However, i have put in an error report with samsung aswell as made direct contact to my network provider.
Again, i thank you for your help. You have been kind and indeed helpful. Please do not take offence to my decision of not having send any details. Purely due to past experience. Lesson learnt to not share any imformation online, even if that person is knowen to me. And given i not know much at all about APN's, id think id be a tool to send any info to someone/anyone about something iv no knowledge to. I hope you understand. 😉
