Hi! can someone please help me? I have a s22 ultra that is registering my sim card only whilst on a wifi connection and not when wifi is off. So when on wifi, I can call, send and receive txts, but as soon as its off it doesnt register. I have tried factory reset, network reset and its not letting me get back on to my network... does anyone have and ideas pls????? The sim works fine as placed in other phones. Just happened randomly, was working fine and then.... 😑
Thank you kindly !🙏🙏🙏🙏

A reasonably strong possibility is the settings for Access Point Name (connection settings between phone and cell tower), which may have been affected by an update.
1. Google "Telstra (depending on your isp) APN settings," if Telstra add 5G in the search. Note these down 100% imcluding spaced, caps, etc
2. In phone go to Settings and search for the full phrase Access Point Names. Also note settings on paper in case you want to revett. Now enter, correctly, the settings from Google , save if asked and RESTART.
Good luck.
If this doesn't fix your problem use a Google search as you will get more suggestions there. You might search for "android sim not working" If dual sim try the other sim slot (unlikely to be the problem). I like to be told if it works🙂

Just in case you haven't taken your phone to an area with better cell phone reception, try that.

Also, try a different provider's sim card.
Also try locking your phone to 4G. Go to Settings, Connections, Network, Mobile Networks, a set to 4G/LTE there.
It may be that that phone model needs a strong signal. Load an app called Aus Phone Towers from Play Store. Find the hidden settings on the left side of the menu ans select ISP and your ISP, etc. When you click on the coloured dots for the closest cell tower one will be for your ISP and will show a map of coverage for 4G or 5G, whichever you choose. Note 5G has a smaller radius than 4G. Standing outside your home line up with the cell tower on the map and you might get (better) reception.
Did you buy your phone from Samsung or JB-HIFI or another approved seller, not e.g. Kogan? If so use direct message to contact me and I will send more information.
To check signal strength to cell tower open Settings, scroll to "About" open sim settings, select sim card. The - dBm settings should be between -40 or lower (good) up to around -100 (poor). Happy if you give me more feedback.
