Hi

Just bought this monitor, connected it to my Microsoft Surface and installed the driver that I downloaded from the Australian Samsung website. The last step was frustrating as the extraction utility was all in Korean, for which I do not understand.

Also, the recommended resolution under Settings > Display in Windows 10 is only 1920 x 1080 and this is as far as it goes. Is this correct or is it supposed to be 3840 x 2160?

Please advise if 1920 x 1080 is the correct setup or how can I get it up to the higher resolution.

I would be grateful for any assistance on this one.

Hi there, to change the resolution, follow the steps on page 127 of the user manual:

https://www.samsung.com/au/support/model/LS32AM701UEXXY/#downloads

The resolution of the monitor is 3840 x 2160, however if it is suggesting or defaulting to a lower resolution, this may be due to the content itself.

Hope this clarifies things.

Hi Laura

Thanks for your response. I have tried what you have suggested on my Surface that is connected to a surface dock.

However, its still coming up with the recommended and maximum resolution of 1920 x 1080.

Hi there, are you using the M7 to mirror your Microsoft Surface screen, or as an extension of the screen?

Hello, I have the same issue. I connected my m7 monitor to a Lenovo laptop via a HDMI cable that was in the set and the native resolution is seen as 1920x1080 with no option to change it to 4k. The card set for the display is GeForce RTX 4050 for notebooks.

Is there a solution?

Hi Laura,

If I mirror the screen, it works well with the right resolution but I want to extend it. Why is that? How can I utilize the full resolution of the monitor in extended mode?

Thank you.

With kind regards,

Zoltan
