DiscussionI am livid. I decided to upgrade to the S24 Ultra, went for the full TB version. Samsung sent it to me and said to return my old Note20 5G to them in the box via FedEx for a $400 credit. I did.
Then Samsung says, "Oh, the box came and was empty, so we're charging you the $400 credit we had promised." (Why would I send them an empty box!?!) I called and spoke with support who said they wouldn't charge that. Then, today, Samsung deducted the $400 from my PayPal account.
I am told by Samsung that my only recourse is to file a complaint with FedEx. I did, but how do they know someone at Samsung didn't steal my old phone and just say the box was empty?
My credit card vendors don't make me pay for fraudulent charges; they trust me. Samsung apparently feels I am out to rip them off and won't provide the same courtesy. I feel cheated and betrayed. I've been a loyal Samsung customer for years and years, recommending them to everyone, but never again.
I would have taken the phone into a local shop if that had been an option, but, no, Samsung said I had to FedEx it back. I did everything I was supposed to do - exactly what Samsung told me to do - and because their person or someone at FedEx stole my old phone, Samsung basically accused me of trying to cheat them. I did what they told me to do, and I am being punished for it.
I will never trust them again. Lost a family of customers, Samsung.
