I'm Interested to know if any members have used filters, solar or others for their galaxy phone.
A member commented when zooming in on the sun, it could damage the camera sensor.
Members thoughts and recommendations would be appreciated.

I think as long as you are not taking a direct shot of the sun, your phone will be fine.

It's a similar issue with high powered laser (in some clubs). I dont think its an issue here in AU, but in countries with less regulations, I have seen lasers damaging camera sensors!

IR (infrared) lasers, particularly strong ones like those in LiDAR systems or powerful laser pointers, can damage camera sensors, causing permanent issues such as dead pixels, streaks, or lines in images.

Thank you. I will keep that in mind. Maybe it's worth buying a solar filter to be on the safe side.
