I know this is not the right forum. But not much information is available online, therefore taking my shot.
Australian accounts has started receiving lossless. Yes it is "worse" than flac, but I want to judge that for myself.
My enquiry is does anyone know how the roll-out is being determined? Ie who gets when?
People in the same family plan has the option with the same devices. But other accounts does not.
States does not seem to be a factor.
If it's based on listening hours. It is inversely proportional. I tend to listen to flacs over Spotify and YouTube. So time spent on that system is less.
Nothing is random to a system. If we know we are not going to be to end of October, priorities will be set accordingly.
Qobuz user here but I also have a Spotify Family plan because kids insist on it 🙄. None of our accounts have the lossless option enabled yet. If the criteria was active usage we'd have it by now since the kids are on it literally non-stop.
