How can I stop my ex partner from being in control of my phone with spyware apps. It's really an invasion of my privacy. If she doesn't want me to see something she blocks notifications she can do anything she likes. How can I put a stop to this as I'm really f#cking over it.

As a temporary solution it may not help but have a look at Secure Folder. You can set up your email there with a different email account.. Less easy is phone, but may be possible. There is a setting allowing two messaging apps, one could be set up here e.g Samsung messaging in one, Go9gle messaging in the other. Access to yourSecure folder could be by pin, swipe or, if on your model, fingerprint.
More difficult is removing spyware which may involve creating a backup, doing factory reset and reinstalling apps from Google Play, and only copying back specific data. I will eave it to others who know more to advise you. Also use Google for more suggestions.

I don't really know what exactly I just read. However, try backing up your photos to your computer and any other important files. Then completely factory reset your phone and start again.

There is a folder on your device called Secure Folder. If you can't find it go to Settings and use search. You can install apps and documents in it and you open it by using your selected security options e.g. pin, swipe, fingerprint chosen for this folder during setup. It is likely, hopefully, that spyware can't open it unless the intruder knows your pin or swipe, etc. Once you have set it up delete the apps you currently use as these still work and are accessible to spyware. To further confuse you can also change its name to something the intruder is not likely to look at e.g. "deleted items".

Hey @sak1203, if you suspect there is spyware on your device, I suggest using Safe Mode to try and locate then uninstall the app.

To enable safe mode:

https://www.samsung.com/au/support/mobile-devices/using-safe-mode/

From there, please navigate through your device apps and uninstall any applications that you do not recognise.

Settings > Apps > All apps

To exit safe mode:

https://www.samsung.com/au/support/mobile-devices/exit-out-of-safe-mode-or-android-recovery/
