I personally use the Samsung Internet to browse instead of Chrome and one of the main reason is the privacy focus.
The internet app includes a series of privacy features that protects you when you're online.
Turning on the Smart Anti Tracking feature will block cookies and trackers that follows you on every website you visit. By default, this is on for Secret Browser, but I've turned this on all the time.
There are other important features like:
- Blocking pop ups
- Enforced HTTPS (a more secure connection compared to HTTP)
- Blocking automatic downloads, preventing malicious apps being installed automatically.
If you're using other browsers, I'd suggest trying the Samsung Internet Browser for a few weeks. It's safe, smooth and you can download third party ad blockers; you can block all ads (including "acceptable" ads unlike chrome).
