They seem to have no intention of actually helping when you have a genuine proproblem with their products.
Even direct messaging a "community manager" gets ignored if the question is not to their liking, like "when are you going to fix my phone?"

The community managers primary focus is the community.
Yes, they will try to help people with issues, but there's only so much they can do.
And if people are sending rude or nasty DM's, then I can't blame them if they ignore messages.
More than likely, though, they're just extremely busy, we have a large community.

So you just assume that a rude or nasty DM has been sent? That's quite arrogant to think you have personal insight into other people's conversations, and isn't the community made up of all the people within it?

My comment about DM's was clearly of a general nature. It was not directed at you or any other person specifically.
Further, you suggesting Community Managers, like @SamsungClaudette not replying to you because "the question is not to their liking" would also be an arrogant assumption, would it not?

Not at all. Over the last 4-5 weeks my phone has been at the service centre twice, and is still there, because it continuously shuts down, restarts and becomes stuck on the lock screen. This problem has been ongoing for 12 months and is negatively affecting my business and my ability to carry out my work.
I have had numerous communications with Samsung personnel via the call centre, this app and DMs, I have done everything asked of me, including sending multiple error logs, nearly 20 in a week, and drove to the service centre to deliver my phone directly because I was told a case manager would escalate the situation and I would have an answer by the close of business that day - never got a reply.
When I DM the community manager, who had "reached out to me" previously to enquire about the progress of my case they asked for a service number to get back to me with info. I gave that and a week later, no reply. I DM'd again to enquire progress and again, no reply. Two days later, still no reply.
So, my comment stands, from experience.
Regards.
