Our Australian business telephone number shows up as a totally wrong and different business name whenever we call Samsung phones. I assume it is a Hiya or software issue. No idea how this name got associated with our number. I filled out emails to Hiya but they say they can't correct it!!! Does anyone know who I can contact to fix this? Customers with Samsung phones are not answering our calls because they have never heard of the name. We never asked for it to be listed let alone with the wrong name! I can't seem to find any way to either display the correct name or at least stop displaying the totally wrong one. Any help or contact details would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.

Hi again _nok_ the solution was to ask them to cancel/remove the listing altogether as they don't seem to be able to modify it , thanks for your suggestions

Hi _nok_ thanks for your reply. That was the form I originally submitted to correct the information and they told me they can't change our name as listed. I have resubmitted requesting them remove us altogether and I will see if that at least removes the wrong name. I will update this post if it works - in the meantime if anyone else has any suggestions I am happy to hear them, thank you kindly.

Hiya is merely an ingester of data. They then use machine learning to join some more dots. The key is to ensure the sources are accurate which can be a challenge. I've found in Australia that Google business listing, Bing for Business, Whitepages and Yellow Pages are the biggest contributors outside of your SEO optimised Web pages- tricky if you have a dud one (or someone else does) and google has that cached. They'll also trawl the ABN sites, public Facebook and X etc. I would try searching the wrong number and your business name in a google search together and seeing what listings you might need to hit up for a change

Hi No1Dad thanks for the reply. There is no problem with our number - the issue is Samsung phones show the caller ID as a totally different name to us when we ring customers.

Actually, we have owned this business for over 30 years with the same phone number in yellow pages, white pages, then internet and everywhere else over the entire time. If you google our number our correct name is the only name that comes up. Somehow though, they chose a different name as our caller ID. It is like the machine skipped the most obvious answer in this instance. Hopefully as per my post above they will remove the name altogether if they can't change it.
