I purchased my Z fold 3 back in August/September last year through Vodafone, after two weeks of use (never dropped, never damaged) a black pixel line appeared right down the fold in the phone.

The screen was still showing but the right side of the phone was not accepting commands.

I handed it in to the store to be sent into the service centre to be repaired or replaced under warranty.

The representative observed the phone, noted he used to be a service technician and agreed it was a warranty issue and I should have it back in two weeks.

After a few months the verdict from them was determined as physical damage and I needed to pay for the repair, the phone WAS NEVER DAMAGED OR DROPPED and treated carefully, in no way was this my error.

I was advised to pick up the phone and take it personally to a Samsung repair centre.

I went into the store to pick up the phone and finding it in worse condition than I when I handed it in. The screen was now completely black and clear bubbling.

I could not accept the phone in that condition.

The store knew of the original issue and then sent it to the Samsung repair centre.

Samsung refused to repair or replace under warranty and stated physical damage.

I have now referred this to the telecommunications ombudsman.

...its now 5 months on.

I had seen hundreds of complaints online of the exact same issue.

I have been in contact with numerous representatives from Vodafone and Samsung and still no resolution.

I have been an avid user of Samsung products for around 15 years so have been incredibly disappointed by this process.

Sorry to hear of this kind of result, I feel mine is heading in a similar way with my failed screen on my Z Fold 2, despite being under a warranty clause precisely.

Goodluck and I hope you have some success and customer satisfaction if this exists anymore...
