Last year June 6 2024, I drove to local park/beach just before the sun was rising to take my dog, Zeusthechocolateqt (instagram) for a walk and run as life has put me through the hardest lesson of them all.. to heal naturally, regain purpose and look after myself 1st.
After our walk, I came back to my car and we drove home. As I got home, I looked under seat in car to get my phone, as that's where it was. It wasn't. Cleaned car out. Hmm.. started to stress. Panic attack kicks me for 10.
This then was making me 2nd guess myself if I actually left my phone under the seat. I called my phone and it was off. I quickly hopped in car and drove back to beach with bright torch, back tracked our walk. No where.
I tried to login to my samsung, google and Microsoft to see where phone located. I could not get into samsung and Microsoft for 2nd verification sent to phone. Not even after email confirmation and I.d. argh.. google said I will be notified when phone found. Notification on the 9th june 2024 stating an address of my phone and then I was signed out of EVERYTHING! FOR 6 WEEKS. I went to the address asking if they have seen s22 ultra white, and that my phone has been stolen stating that address. Everyone denied of any s22 ultra. I continued and asked the whole street.
I was locked out of My bank also. I called phone optus and put block on my phone. Called and emailed samsung and put police report in.
All these exta security and find my phone stuff is b.s.
I also paid extra on phone plan incase phone broke or stolen.
Nothing.
No replacement, no phone found. Can't even see where phone is now on google because after you reset online if turned on it also logs you out so you cannot see it again to report lost online with message. For 1st few months yeh. Not this year. It's registered but because not logged in. Nothing. Lol.
Thinking now of changing to Apple which is sad as I have been with samsung since 1st phone came out after Nokia days haha.
No compensation. Just compromised and put in financial difficulty. Cheers samsung
See if you can get a Samsung / Optus Insurance Review;
* Ask for PDS (Product Disclosure Statement) of your device protection plan * Push for a formal claim assessment in writing * If rejected, go further to the AFCA and/or ACCC
My son recently lost his phone. A McDonald's staff member was obviously trying to keep it as I successfully tracked it to where it was using Samsung find. Even after the guy who found it and handed it in the guy tried denying it was under the counter where I had not only tracked it to but was told by guy who found it he'd put it. But after I showed him how I tracked it he handed it back. So this technology does work. You simply have to be strong and stand up if it says its at that address. Don't just believe it when a person denies it. If it tracks there, its there.
The funny thing is, i after I went to the house, the location was pinged at, I typed up s22 ultra white for sale near me and it was a man who sold curtains had 1 for sale in alkimos a street away from where it was stolen. I looked on maps at the house and said it was a curtain dealer. 😮 I then txt the phone for sale to try to get the address so I can suss out, silly me asked for imei number to verify no money owed to phone. The man txt me back stating sorry, he not selling that phone anymore as he decided to keep it. Police been notified but still nothing. Hopeless pmsl that's perths police for you 😂 glad you got your sons phone back 😊
