Hey, I just checked that Circles Life 5G is only available for A33 and A53. May I know if ur A73 is a local or export set?

yeah some telcos may not have 5G infrastructure. for example, the telco i signed up - redONE doesnt offer 5G. in SG context our 5G network is a faux 5G. we don't have a real & physical 5G signal tower & infrastructure etc yet so thats why i decided to switch to redONE (or telco which doesn't offer 5G), and why pay for 5g for a non-5G infra

Yeah if the device doesn't support 5G SA network, might as well change to a 4G plan instead.. 5G plan is about 33% more expensive than 4G plan. Not worth it if not utilising 5G.

full 5g comes in by 2025 in Singapore.. but by then 6G will start to roll out in other countries (my own guess though)Screenshot_20230526_101442_Edge.jpg

Actually, full 5G is alr rolled out about 2 years ago if I am not wrong.. and 5G NSA is no longer available, hence old 5G phones can no longer connect to 5G le.. as they switch off the 5G NSA and turn on 5G SA.

So those who bought iPhone 12 series, S20 and Note 20 series and other 2020 phones can no longer connect to 5G liao.

I think for my case, customer service said is the phone model not compatible. Even though is a 5G model.

I check singtel, starhub, m1. This phone is also not listed as compatible device

Actually, not all 5G phones are truly 5G. Those that don't support 5G Standalone (SA) can only be used by countries and telcos which are still using 5G Non-standalone (NSA) network. Meaning is that 5G NSA is still using 4G infrastructure, hence it's not the real 5G.

Sadly, most telcos, if not all, have switched to 5G SA network, which means devices previously can connect to 5G, but only support 5G NSA, can no longer connect to 5G anymore.
