I tried looking for the A11 default app - for "call record"   it does not exist in A11 - as the link - How to Record Calls on Samsung Galaxy Phones (makeuseof.com)     suggests - I then tried two different 3rd party apps - to record calls - they dont work either - is this because its Not allowed in Australia ?? or is there a workaround app ??

Not allowed in Australia.

There's ways around it, but this site isn't the place to discuss it.

For privacy reasons, you can't record calls without consent.

If I am correct, you should able to do it if you flash XID (Philippines) ROM or CSC using Odin tool.

Yeah, or Vietnam and maybe Thailand.
But I didn't mention this as it can soft brick peoples phones if they get the wrong files etc.

Hello did you try alternative call recorder app?
Please do a test with https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=call.recorder.automatic.acr

It worked for me but it's about the model as well as the current firmware version
