Hey guys I need to know if anyone has had a similar issue when changing their phone volume via the handset buttons does it come up with a cast volume symbol even though you are not casting. I am hoping to find someone with the same issue so I know nobody has hacked my phone through cast. I have looked everywhere and found nothing, I'm at wits end. Sometimes the cast volume will reset instantly to 100% if you turn it down. It's an a52 running android 11.

Hi. Maybe you have a Bluetooth device or smart car (Cast or Pairing) that is always on. I assume head phones might also auto connect.
Check your Google Home to see what is connected. Or restart your device.

We do have a home that's always sitting idle but never connected, maybe it's just wigging out

Hi, I am having the same problem and the only thing connected is my galaxy watch. Also if it was casting why would the sound comes out the phone, but just softer and the volume control does not work properly. Restart the phone it goes back to normal for for a day or two and then same problem as soon as I open YouTube...

Hi @Jesse2, are you experience volume issues playing media aside from Chromecast?

If not, I suggest reaching out to Google for Chromecast support.

Chromecast has been really glitchy for me lately.

Not pausing unless I have youtube app open, reconnecting when I am trying to shut it off, and prioritising media volume over the cast volume.

I usually turn off the TV and cast and it fixes it for a while. Could be an update with the cast/phone software?

Hi @ChocoNutty, that's strange. Please send us an Error Report via the Samsung Members app so that we can investigate the issue further.

To do this:

Samsung Members > Get Help > Error Reports > Choose issue category > Describe issue and frequency > Tick 'Send Log Data' > Send.

Samsung recommends sending these reports within 2-3 minutes of an issue occurring to increase the likelihood of identifying the issue.
