How many OS updates will a52s 5G get?

Hello, so I just got my new Samsung a52s 5G a month ago, but this device is a year old, and I'm wondering how many years will this phone last this 2023 before I get another upgrade from Samsung.

3 OS updates and 4 years of security updates. The A52s already received 2 OS updates, Android 12 and 13, the last one will be Android 14 which will arrived later this year.

3 more, or does that makes it 1 more update next year?

The next year will be just security patches. No more OS updates. It will be stucked at Android 14 which will be its last OS update later this year.

what about samsung a53? because I'm planning to upgrade to that phone since it's the least newest one

The Galaxy A53 will have 4 OS updates and 5 years of security updates.

It already received 1 OS update last year, so 3 more OS updates.

Samsung places the utmost importance on providing Galaxy users with the latest mobile experiences possible, as long as hardware specifications for upgrades are met and the experience can be optimized. Galaxy devices not eligible to receive four generations of One UI upgrades are still supported with up to three generations of One UI upgrades, an improvement over the two generations previously offered.
